It’s a great hike to kick off your trip in Sedona, as long as you don’t mind some crowds. This hike is extremely popular so the parking lot fills up quickly and there is usually a long wait to get a photo on the bridge.

    Note: A Pink Jeep Adventure Tour is a popular and iconic off roading adventure in Sedona. The most popular tour is the Broken Arrow Tour. The experience lasts two hours with many stops along the way. You’ll see beautiful overlooks and climb over steep rocks in the jeep. This is the location where the tours begin.

    Note: Enjoy the sunset from the Airport Mesa Vortex. The Airport Mesa Vortex is one of most powerful vortexes and the closest vortex to downtown Sedona. The mesa is a domed orange rock that has an easy climb to the top, even including railings at times. It is a popular place for yoga or meditation. It also has amazing 360 views, with Sedona below and the Red Rocks all around.

    Note: Lake Powell is a man-made reservoir that was created from the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam. This beautiful lake has almost 2,000 miles of shoreline. You can swim, take a boat tour, explore via jet ski or kayak or stay overnight on a houseboat. If you are short on time, visit Lone Rock Beach for a great viewpoint of the lake.

    Note: The Desert View Watchtower is a 70-foot high stone tower at the edge of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Normally you can go to the top of the tower for amazing views. This is a great stop to get your first glimpse of the canyon as you drive between Page and Grand Canyon Village.

The Desert Botanical Garden got beautifully laid out presentation of local foliage. Educational and serene. Took just over an hour to walk through. Lots of water refill stations. They also have a lovely gift shop.
